I am now Nocturnal

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh…(very long sigh of relief)…I am finally done with my first round of tests! I have not felt more relieved in all my time at college. Not only am I done…I did really well on all of them, as well as my english paper. Unfortunately, it put me on the absolute worst sleep pattern of my life. I haven’t gone to sleep before 3 am in 15 straight nights now. This week, I have been up past 5 am 3 times. I can’t make myself sleep, so I end up staying up pretty much all night. Hopefully I will get insane relaxation this weekend at the all-campus retreat. I am totally pumped – I will get to hang out with other Wesley-ites from all over Texas and I might see a few old friends from home. I bet that the people at all the other Wesleys will think we are really wack. But who knows, maybe they will be too!
Other news from this week:
The Wesley Date Auction…yikes…this was a crazy experience. For those of you not familiar with this…it is a weird fundraiser where a group of the guys come up with an idea for a group “date” to go on, and then the girls bid on what they want to do, then the guys pay for all parts of the date. We came up with an awesome idea for the Walton date. “Date-in-a-Hat” – this was gonna be the sweetest thing in the world. We thought up all kinds of potential dates to go on, and then decided that it would be cool if we made it a surprise…to us and the people who bid on it…we were gonna put all the options in a hat and have all the girls pull one out and then pick their favorite…but we kind of made it confusing and then Chris (the auctioneer) made it even more confusing by telling all the crappy dates (like “do nothing”, “eat at Sbisa”, “shopping cart race at Wal-Mart”, etc.), which were meant to be a big joke, before he announced any of the good ones…so we got crappy 10 and 20 dollar bids on our date. We are actually going to have a fairly nice one…either Rock climbing and dinner, a baseball game and dinner, a movie and dinner, or a concert and late-night meal. The concert is Thousand Foot Krutch – a super awesome christian rock band…but Chris pronounced it as Thousand Foot “Crotch” – it was absolutely hilarious…I fell off my stool I was laughing so hard… Anyways, it is gonna be fun, and next time all the ladies will want to go on the Walton date.
Well, it is just about time to head out for the retreat…get to go chill at Lakeview for a few days…Sweet! Welp, see ya later!
