I read a passage today from Phaedo, by Plato, for one of my philosophy classes, and it really sparked my mind, which I believe is the entire purpose of philosophy. The quote is from Socrates, a “most excellent historical figure” (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure!!), as he is addressing questions about his optimism concerning death.
